Dimitar Dimitrov led OK Savings Bank to a resounding victory over league leaders Korean Air

Bulgarian international Dimitar Dimitrov played a key role in one of OK Savings Bank's most impressive victories since the start of the season in the Republic of Korea's V-League. The Busan team ended the 10-match winning streak of leader Korean Air, prevailing decisively with a 3:0(27:25,25:22,25:20) score in a 14th-round match, played in the packed Gangseo Hall.

Blocking decided everything, Dimitrov led the attack.

The match clearly showed the hosts' superiority in height and at the net. OK Savings Bank made 13 blocks, compared to just 5 for Korean Air – a statistic that decisively tipped the scales. At the heart of the success was Bulgarian opposite hitter Dimitar Dimitrov, who finished with 20 points – the most in the match – and once again demonstrated stability in key moments.

Dimitrov was once again OK's most reliable attacking option, combining efficiency with composure in decisive rallies. The support from veteran Jeon Kwang-in, especially with his blocking (4 blocks), further disrupted Korean Air's rhythm. On the other side, 22 errors by the visitors proved fatal and ended their impressive winning streak.

Historical Significance and Standings

After their fourth consecutive home victory, OK Savings Bank improved their record to 7 wins and 7 losses, accumulated 21 points, and climbed to 4th place, surpassing KEPCO. Victories over Hyundai Capital, KB Insurance, and now Korean Air solidify the Busan team's rising form.

A personal moment for the Bulgarian opposite hitter

The success came a day after Dimitar Dimitrov celebrated his 25th birthday, which added an extra emotional charge to his performance. With these 20 points, he solidified his leadership among the scorers in the V-League and now has 322 points since the start of the season, making him the #1 scorer in the league.
