ON Hotels ALANYA Bld achieved an extremely difficult, yet valuable home victory with 3:2 (22:25, 25:27, 29:27, 25:22, 15:8) over the Serbian powerhouse Vojvodina Novi Sad in the first leg of the Round of 16 of the CEV Volleyball Cup 2026 for men. The match in the hall100th Anniversary Recep Hacıfazlıoğlulasted a full 131 minutes and offered 1100 spectators top-class volleyball, complete with a full comeback.
Bulgarian ex-international Georgi Seganov played a solid match and finished with 3 points, +1, including 1 ace and 1 block. He skillfully orchestrated the Turkish team's play, which showed character by overturning a 0:2 set deficit.
Alanya's Iranian star, Bardia Saadat, delivered another strong performance and was the top scorer of the match with 26 points. For the visitors, the scoring leader was Nikola Brboric, who finished with 22 points.
The return leg is scheduled for January 8 (Thursday) in Novi Sad, in the SPC "Vojvodina" hall.
If the Serbian team manages to eliminate Alanya, it will face the winner of the tie between Turcoing (France) and Vennie Antov–Maaseik (Belgium).
