OK Savings Bank coach after seventh win: "This was Dimitrov's strongest match so far"

National player Dimitar Dimitrov and his OK Savings Bank Rush & Cash (Busan) recorded their seventh victory since the start of the season in the V-League of the Republic of Korea, after dramatically defeating KB Stars 3:2 (25:27, 25:13, 25:17, 21:25, 15:12) in a match from the 13th round.

For the Bulgarian opposite hitter, this was an exceptionally strong match – he became the top scorer in the encounter with 27 points, including 2 aces, 5 blocks, and 50% attack efficiency. With this contribution, Dimitrov now has 302 points since the start of the season, solidifying his position as the leading scorer for the Busan team.

OK Savings Bank coach Shin Young-chul described the Bulgarian's performance as "his best of the season so far". The coach emphasized that Dimitrov was not only a leader in offense but also showed growth in his blocking game and interactions with the setter.

The strong play of the opposite hitter was key to the success of the Busan club, which played the match with fluctuating concentration. After a weak first set, the team showed character – stable serving, a total of 20 blocks in the match, and solid defense led by Bu Yong-chan and Jeong Kwang-in, who saved numerous difficult balls in defense. Nevertheless, coach Shin expressed disappointment that the match was not closed with a clean victory, after OK committed 10 unforced errors in the fourth set.

Separately, the coach made remarks to setter Lee Min-kyu regarding inaccuracies in tempo and secondary passes, emphasizing the need for faster and more stable offensive organization.

Despite the criticisms, the focus in Busan is on stabilizing the game system and maintaining the form of key players. And when Dimitar Dimitrov plays at this level, the OK Savings Bank team seems capable of challenging any opponent in the league.
