Tatarov with a strong match against the champion, but Grottazzolina suffered their tenth loss

Grottazzolina suffered itstenth consecutive lossin the championship, losing all three sets with the same score - 0:3 (18:25, 18:25, 18:25) to Itas Trentino. The hosts remain with only1 pointin their assets, after the champions from Trento imposed complete dominance in Porto San Giorgio. Tatarov was Yuasa's top scorer for the match and the only one who managed to trouble Trento's reception from serve. His activity in attack kept the team competitive at certain moments. Petkov contributed in the middle, but failed to make a serious impact against the champions' block and pressure. For the winners, the top scorers were Micheletto with 18 points, Ramon with 16, and American international Gaby Garcia added another 14 points for the victory, which leaves the champions in second place in the standings, two points behind first-placed Perugia.
