A trio with equal scoring is rarely seen at this level, but Ravenna showedperfect balancein attack. Bartolucci was extremely effective (67% perfect reception, 64% in attack), Zlatanov brought stability in defense and reception, and Dimitrov dominated at the net. This variety deprived Siena of the opportunity to focus its block.

Gabriele Nelli14
Luigi Randazzo12

Siena relies on two main scorers – Nelli and Randazzo. After them, however, there is a huge gap. The third highest scorer remains with just 8 points, which clearly demonstrates the lack of breadth in attack and the difficulties in building a consistent rhythm.

What tipped the scales in Ravenna's favor

1. Stable reception and versatile attack

Ravenna maintained 41% positive reception and distributed the attack among at least five players, while Siena depended on two.

2. Dominant block

12 block points for the visitors against 8 for the hosts. Bartolucci and Dimitrov stopped key attacks by Nelli and Randazzo.

3. More aggressive serve

Despite the errors, Ravenna forced Siena to play out of system, which led to low attack percentages (37%).
