Consar Ravenna maintained its leading position in A2 after a new success over Consoli Sferc Brescia – 3:1 (26:24,25:14,20:25,26:24), in a match where Bulgarian internationals Hristiyan Dimitrov and Samuil Valchinov, as well as Italian international Manuel Zlatanov, played a key role.

This is the sixth consecutive win and seventh overall for Daniele Valentini's team, who dominated in the first, second, and fourth sets, demonstrating character in the two successful comebacks.

MATCH DEVELOPMENT

Brescia started strong and took the lead in the first set, but after Zlatanov's return to play, Ravenna turned it around to 26:24. The second set was a domination by the hosts – 25:14 with powerful serving runs and evenly distributed points among Dimitrov, Zlatanov, and Valchinov.

Brescia brought back the intrigue in the third set after a strong serve. In the fourth set, the guests again pulled ahead, but a run from Valchinov, Dimitrov (fifth block), and an ace by Zlatanov brought the hosts back into the fight. Ravenna showed character at the end and closed out the match after another strong contribution from Valchinov.

Head coach Valentini emphasized that the difficult period after the virus that hit the team made the victory even more valuable, and the players showed maturity and discipline.
