Alex Nikolov's teammate stays at Lube until 2029

On the eve of the important visit of Vero Volley Monza, valid for the interim 9th round of the Credem Banca SuperLega Regular Season, Lube Civitanova made a strategic move related to the long-term building of its squad. The club officially announced that it has signed a new three-year contract with middle blocker Giovanni Gargiulo, who will remain with the team until 2029.

The news was published on the official website of A.S. Volley Lube, which emphasizes that Gargiulo – a world champion and a volleyball player from Campania, born in 1999 – has become a "foundation " in coach Gianpaolo Medei's system. The middle blocker will continue to provide the team with his 208 cm height and stable presence at the center of the net, pursuing new accolades after the triumph in the Del Monte Coppa Italia.

According to the club, the contract extension proceeded without difficulties – an expression with which Lube emphasizes the speed with which Gargiulo gave his consent. This is an important signal at a key moment of the season, as the team is about to play two consecutive away matches – first against Monza, and then on December 6th in Modena.

Part of the long-term project alongside Alex Nikolov

Lube's decision to tie Gargiulo until 2029 fits into a broader strategy for rejuvenating and stabilizing the squad. In this project, a central role is also played by the Bulgarian star Alex Nikolov, who has already signed his own long-term contract extension with the club – until 2028. In this way, Civitanova secures the backbone of its future team both in reception and at the center of the net.
