CSKA with a categorical success in Varna and a strong message to Lyubo Penev

CSKA achieved a convincing victory in their away match against Cherno More, solidifying their excellent start to the Super Volley season. The 'Army men' won 3:0 sets (25:23, 25:19, 25:21), securing their fourth win since the start of the championship and demonstrating maturity, class, and character in a traditionally difficult match for them.

Sasho Popov's team started the match under intensified pressure from the 'sailors', who dictated the tempo and sought the initiative in the first set. However, CSKA showed resourcefulness and composure in decisive rallies, turning the set around at 25:23. This turnaround proved crucial – it broke the hosts' momentum and gave the necessary confidence to the team from the capital for dominance until the end.

In the second and third sets, CSKA controlled the game with greater ease. The serve became a weapon, the block worked at a high level, and in attack, the 'Reds' avoided unnecessary risks, winning important points in key moments.

Middle blocker Todor Kostov played one of his strongest matches of the season, finishing with 13 points, including 3 aces and 3 blocks. His performance deservedly earned him the MVP award.

New Zealander Hamish Hazelden added 11 points and a strong presence at the net, while the experienced Teodor Todorov contributed 9 points, achieving an impressive 6 blocks – an indicator of the 'Army men's' total dominance in this element.

With 14 points, CSKA now shares its position with Levski and Lokomotiv Plovdiv at the top of the table, and the upcoming clash between the two teams, the 'Blues' (Levski) and the Plovdiv team (Lokomotiv Plovdiv), could further shake up the situation. CSKA's current form suggests that the team is stable, developing in the right direction, and capable of pursuing high goals throughout the campaign.

After the match, CSKA players and fans showed strong solidarity with the legend Lyubo Penev. The gesture evoked emotion both in the stands and on the court, and the club sent a clear message:

You will win this match too, Lyubo! We are with you!

In the next round, the 'Reds' are on the road again. On December 5th, at 19:30, CSKA will visit Neftochimic in Burgas – a place that traditionally offers tense and high-intensity battles. The success in Varna gives confidence, but the new match by the sea will be a test of the team's resilience in one of the most difficult halls in the country.
