The men's team of OK Savings Bank recorded their first series of two consecutive wins this season in the South Korean V-League, after defeating Woori Card at home in 'Gangseo' Hall in Busan. After a hard-fought battle that lasted five sets, the hosts prevailed with a score of 3:2 (23:25, 25:22, 25:18, 22:25, 15:10).
With this success, OK Savings Bank now has 5 wins and 6 losses with 15 points, which allowed the team to displace KEPCO from fourth place. Woori Card registered its second consecutive defeat and dropped to sixth position with a balance of 4–7 and 12 points.
Bulgarian opposite hitter Dimitar Dimitrov was the key figure in the success. He scored 25 points (52% in attack), leading OK Savings Bank's offense in all crucial moments. Dimitrov demonstrated character, stability, and sharpness in attack, becoming the core of the team throughout the entire match. It was precisely through his well-placed attacks and composed decisions in the tie-break that the hosts managed to impose their will.
Alongside him, Cha Ji-hwan performed strongly with 20 points, as did Jeon Kwang-in with 14. O'Dea added another 11 and brought the necessary breadth to the offense.
For the visitors, Araujo was on top form with an impressive 30 points, and Ali added 21, but their efforts were not enough for a comeback.
With the points scored, Dimitrov continues to be in the top 10 scorers in South Korea.
