Modena recorded a decisive victory against Grottazzolina with 3:1 (25:18, 21:25, 25:18, 25:18) in a match from the latest round of the SuperLega. For the visitors, this was their eighth consecutive loss, and the team remains the only one without a win in the championship, with only one point at the bottom of the standings.

Bulgarian internationals Georgi Tatarov and Iliya Petkov managed to contribute to Grottazzolina's only won set, but the team's strength only went that far.

The first set was entirely dictated by Modena. After a 21:15 lead for the hosts, the difference was sufficient for them to solidify their game superiority and take the set with 25:18.

In the second set, the visitors finally found their rhythm. The start was even, but at 13:16, Grottazzolina showed its best period in the match. The lead was maintained until the end, and the team managed to close the set with 21:25, thanks to stable serving and better distribution of attacks.

The third and fourth sets resembled the first – Modena completely dominated in attack and especially in blocking. The hosts recorded 11 successful blocks against only 4 for Grottazzolina, which proved to be a key component for the outcome of the match, with the visitors only managing to gain a minimal advantage in serving - 6/7.

Grottazzolina's negative streak is likely to continue, as in the next round – on December 3 – the team faces the European club champion and bronze medalist from the last season, Perugia.

Georgi Tatarov played a strong match and finished with 16 points, +4, 2 aces, and 37% attack efficiency.

Iliya Petkov added 5 points, -1, 1 block, and 43% in attack.

For Modena, Vlad Davyskiba was the top scorer with 16 points, and Paul Buchegger contributed 11 to the success.
