BFV with the grand prize in the "Sport" category at the Bright Awards - recognition after the silver in the Philippines

The Bulgarian Volleyball Federation was honored with the grand prize in the "Sport" category at the 10th anniversary edition of the Bright Awards for Business & Tourism, held on November 28 at Marinela Hotel in Sofia.
The prestigious statuette came just two months after the impressive success of our national team, which won a silver medal at the World Championship in the Philippines.

A solemn moment and a powerful message from Lyubo Ganev

The award was presented by Deputy Minister of Tourism Irena Georgieva, and it was accepted by the president of the BFV, Lyubo Ganev, who delivered an emotional and categorical message from the stage.

"This award is for Bulgarian volleyball. Because we managed to turn volleyball into a product – a product that media want to broadcast, municipalities compete to host the events we manage to secure, and fans come out to the squares and streets to cheer on every ball our boys manage to play.

So, thank you all very much.
"I just want to remind you that on September 9, we are starting the European Volleyball Championship. Most of the tickets are already sold, so hurry up and buy yours – so you don't get angry with me later that there will be no tickets," warned the president of the national federation with a smile.
