The Bulgarian Volleyball Federation was honored withthe grand prize in the "Sport" categoryat the 10th anniversary edition ofBright Awards for Business & Tourism, held on November 28 at Marinela Hotel in Sofia.
The prestigious statuette came just two months after the impressive success of our national team, which wona silver medal at the World Championship in the Philippines.

Solemn Moment and Strong Message from Lyubo Ganev

The award was presented byDeputy Minister of Tourism Irena Georgieva, and it was accepted byBFV President Lyubo Ganev, who delivered an emotional and decisive message from the stage.

"This award is for Bulgarian volleyball. Because we managed to turn volleyball into a product – a product that media want to broadcast, municipalities compete to host the events we manage to secure, and fans go out into squares and streets to cheer on every ball our boys manage to play.

So, thank you all very much.
"I just want to remind you that on September 9, the European Volleyball Championship begins. Most of the tickets are already sold, so hurry up and buy yours – don't be angry with me later that there won't be any tickets," the president of the national federation warned with a smile.
