Deya Sport (Burgas) recorded their second victory since the start of the efbet Super Volley campaign, and in an undisputed manner. Georgi Dimitrov's team defeated Montana at home with a convincing 3:0 (25:15, 25:20, 25:14) in the opening match of the intermediate 6th round.
With this win, the Burgas team climbed to 7th place in the provisional standings – 2 wins, 4 losses, 7 points. Montana remains in 6th position with the same number of points (3 wins, 3 losses, 7 points), but before the remaining matches of the round are played.
In the next regular 7th round, Deya Sport will visit Beroe 2016 in Stara Zagora, while Montana will host Burgas's fellow citizens – Neftochimic 2010. Both clashes will take place on Sunday (November 30) – at 18:00 and 19:00, respectively.
Detailed match statistics
Statistics analysis:
The Burgas team completely dominated at the net – 13:0 blocks is a clear indicator of superiority. The difference in serving was also palpable (8:3 aces), which further disrupted the visitors' organization. Interestingly, Montana even had better positive reception (47% versus 39%), but this component ultimately did not bring them results, as attack efficiency was strongly in favor of Deya Sport – 52% versus 41%.
The Burgas team was far more precise in its finishing shots, and its blocking turned a large part of Montana's attacks into easy prey. The difference in offense and net play proved decisive for the conclusive outcome.
Statistics of leading scorers
Shurkhaby dominated at the net – 13 points, +11, and his four blocks and three aces clearly tipped the scales. Valentin Bratoev (10 points including 2 blocks) and Bayramy (10 points, including 1 ace and 2 blocks) provided stable secondary firepower, ensuring comfortable control over all three sets.
For Montana, Walczak was the only one who managed to keep pace with 11 points solely from attack, but the lack of support and the early substitution of the opposite hitter made it difficult for the team. None of his teammates finished with a double-digit score. The presence of setter Viktor Zhekov – this time recovered and with two attack points scored – is a good sign, but still far from the optimal influence he can have on the game.
Deya Sport showed its most comprehensive performance since the start of the season – stable serving, organized blocking, and clean play in attack. If the Burgas team maintains this level, they have the potential to return to the fight for a higher ranking. Montana, on the other hand, will need to seek greater variability and consistency to avoid the fluctuations seen in Burgas.
