Asparuh Asparuhov and Slepsk missed Warsaw after a comeback

Slepsk Malowo Suwałki once again missed an opportunity to close out a tough match, this time as a guest against Projekt Warszawa. After strong moments and leading 2:1 in sets, Dominik Kwapisiewicz's team couldn't hold on in the key rallies and allowed a comeback – 2:3.

Bulgarian receiver Asparuh Asparuhov started as a starter in the first two sets, and then was used sporadically in the tie-break. He finished the match with 5 points, a coefficient of -1, 16% attack efficiency, as well as 40% positive / 20% perfect reception. His performance remained inconsistent, especially in attack, but at certain moments he stabilized the team in reception.

Slepsk started the match with a strong comeback in the first set, but the lack of consistency and freshness in key moments haunted them throughout the match. After leading 2:1, the visitors lost the initiative – the fourth set went point for point, but Koppers' runs and Kochanowski's block tilted the scales in favor of the Warsaw team.

In the tie-break, Projekt showed class and depth – stable reception, block, and clearer distribution in attack. For Slepsk, despite Bartłomiej Filipiak's efforts, there was no second player to maintain a high level.

Projekt Warszawa won the tie-break 15:11 and took two important points, while Slepsk is left with the feeling that they were close again – but not close enough.

Final score: Projekt Warszawa – Slepsk Malowo Suwałki 3:2 (23:25, 25:18, 21:25, 25:20, 15:11)
