Lokomotiv Avia Plovdiv continued their series with a convincing victory over Dunav

Plovdiv's Lokomotiv Avia achieved its fourth consecutive success in the Superliga, after convincingly defeating Dunav (Ruse) 3:0 (25:19, 25:15, 25:17) in a match from the fifth round. The triumph in their home hall elevated the Plovdiv team to the top of the temporary standings with 11 points – equal with Neftochimic 2010 and CSKA, with the Burgas team also undefeated since the start of the season.

At the same time, the Ruse team suffered its fifth consecutive loss and remains in last place, still without a win.

The hosts controlled the game from the first to the last set. In the opening part, Lokomotiv Avia imposed a tempo and pressure from the serve, reaching a comfortable lead of 24:16, to close the set 25:19.

The second part brought even greater superiority – the Plovdiv team pulled ahead 21:11 and calmly cemented their dominance for 25:15.

The third set offered no change in the picture – the hosts maintained a consistent lead and finalized the score at 25:17.

TeamPoints
Kristiyan Aleksov (Lokomotiv Avia)9
Ivaylo Damyanov (Lokomotiv Avia)8
Alex Nikolov (Dunav)15

The data shows a balanced attack for the Plovdiv team, who distributed points among more players, while for Dunav, the dependence on Alex Nikolov is visible – his 15 points were not enough against the powerful collective pressure of the hosts.
Anton Stanchev was chosen as MVP.
