Bulgaria started strong at the U20 Men's Balkan Championship in Serbia. Miroslav Zhivkov's boys defeated Moldova 3:0 (25:10, 25:14, 25:15) in less than an hour. This was also Vladimir Nikolov's debut as an assistant coach for this team.

Bulgaria started with the following lineup:
Simeon Nikolov, Kostadin Kozelov, Kristian Andreev, Aleksandar Kandev, Kristian Titriyski, Aleksandar Tsanev (libero), replaced by Konstantin Chipev (libero) and Stiliyan Delibozov.
In the first set, our team was the most dominant, with the game ending 25:10 after an ace by Titriyski.

The second set also proceeded under our dictation, with Kristian Andreev and Aleksandar Nikolov briefly entering the game. At the very end of the set, Zhasmin Velichkov also came in, replacing Titriyski.
In the final set, which also lacked intrigue, Ognyan Hristov briefly entered, and again at the end of the set, Zhasmin Velichkov came in for Titriyski.
The most effective player for Bulgaria was Kandev with 11 points. Kozelov followed with nine. Stiliyan Delibozov added 9 points, and Kristian Titriyski - 8 points. Our team recorded 8 aces and 4 block points. We demonstrated a very high percentage in attack (58%) and reception (50%).

Tomorrow, our boys will face Albania at 8:00 PM Bulgarian time.
