Denislav Bardarov again the most stable in IBB's squad, but a weak tie-break decided the derby in Izmir

The İBB Sports Club team recorded a dramatic loss during their away game against Altekma with a score of 2:3 (18–25, 25–23, 28–26, 18–25, 15–4), despite another strong performance by the Bulgarian receiver Denislav Bardarov. The match from the 5th round offered serious intrigue, long rallies, and two extremely contested sets, but the hosts were more stable in the final part.

İBB started strong and controlled the first set, but lost the initiative in the second and third. The tie-break was completely one-sided – Altekma closed the match convincingly with a score of 15:4.
Altekma won the match after 142 minutes of play, watched by approximately 250 spectators. The hosts scored 6 aces, while İBB finished with 7. Reception was completely even – both teams reported 43% positive reception.

In attack, Altekma achieved a total of 63 points, compared to 53 for İBB. Blocking also tipped the scales towards the hosts – 10 blocks for Altekma against 7 for the guests. However, İBB received significantly more gifts, as Altekma made 36 unforced errors, while İBB players made 25.

Ali Fazli İBB 2 13 0 13
Ozgur Benzer İBB 0 4 3 4

The overall table clearly highlights Candido's dominance in almost all elements. The Bulgarian receiver is the leading scorer for İBB, having added 2 aces and 1 block, with his efficiency rating at +12 and attack effectiveness at 33%.

IBB lost the Izmir derby despite an excellent performance from Denislav Bardarov, who was once again the most consistent player on the team, scoring 21 points. The Bulgarian showed stability in both defense and attack, but his team failed to maintain its level in the most crucial moments.

Altekma capitalized on their broader offensive arsenal and Candido's brilliant match. The tie-break clearly showed which formation was fresher and more concentrated at the end.
