Bulgaria lost its last European match

Bulgaria concluded its participation in the European Women's Under-20 Championship, which our country co-hosts, with a loss. In the last match of Group I in Sofia, our young "lionesses" could not overcome the leader Turkey - 0:3 (19-25, 17-25, 23-25). The Final Four of the championship will be played in the capital's "Hristo Botev" hall on Friday and Saturday (August 16 and 17). Borislav Krachanov's team did not qualify for the semifinals after three losses and four wins, but secured a spot in the top 6, which guarantees them participation in next year's World Championship.

Even before the match with Turkey, it was clear that nothing depended on the final result for us. Perhaps this also affected the performance of Krachanov's girls, while the Turkish players were extremely motivated to continue their winning streak.
Today, Iva Dudova scored 12 points for the Bulgarian team, Kaya Nikolova added 10, and Viktoria Koeva – 8. For the Turkish team, Liza Safronova scored 13 points, and Begun Kachmaz added 8.
