The Cloudflare outage also affected club volleyball sites in Bulgaria

The global collapse in the infrastructure ofCloudflareon November 18, 2025, led to problems in the operation of numerous websites worldwide – including in the Bulgarian volleyball ecosystem. The outage, caused by "unusual traffic" overloading part of the company's network, resulted in loading errors for hundreds of services.

Among those affected are the official pages of four leading Bulgarian clubs –Neftochimic 2010 (Burgas),Cherno More Bask (Varna), Montana, and Pirin. Currently, all four sites continue to returnError code 520 – Web server is returning an unknown error, which means that Cloudflare cannot establish a normal connection with the origin server.

What the problem looks like

The messages fans see are standard for such situations – the browser works, Cloudflare works, butthe hosting for the club websites is not responding.

Neftochimic 2010

  • Time of error:2025-11-18 15:48 UTC

  • Status: Cloudflare working Host server not responding

Cherno More Bask

  • Time of error:2025-11-18 15:53 UTC

  • Status: Cloudflare working Host server not responding

What does this mean for clubs and fans

When a global provider like Cloudflare experiences an issue, websites that use its security and content delivery services often become inaccessible, even though their actual servers are functioning normally.

For sports clubs, this can lead to:

  • lack of up-to-date information on matches, tickets, and news;

  • hindered communication with fans;

  • problems with access to statistics, video archives, and online stores.

In this specific casethere are no indications of a hacker attack, and it is most likely a temporary blocking of the connection between Cloudflare and the club websites' hosting providers.

This is happening at an extremely inconvenient time for the Burgas-based club becausetomorrow Neftochimic plays its second match against Chênois Genève (SUI)in the European tournaments. The ticket information that the club had previously published on its website is currently inaccessible to fans.

Is a quick recovery expected?

Cloudflare has already announced that it is working to stabilize its services. Usually, similar outages are restored within hours, but for some clients, the effect is felt longer.

The pages of the four clubs will be accessible again after Cloudflare's network is fully normalized.
