Bulgarian volleyball player Maria Koleva scored 10 points, but it was not enough to help her Praia Clube avoid a second consecutive loss in the Brazilian championship. The team from Uberlândia lost as a guest to SESC RJ Flamengo with a score of 0:3 (22:25, 22:25, 24:26) in a match that lasted 102 minutes, played in front of nearly 5000 spectators at the legendary Maracanazinho hall in Rio de Janeiro.
Koleva finished the match with 10 points, including 1 ace, recording 46% positive reception, but a relatively low 27% attack efficiency. In the third set, Koleva was substituted by Kafr.
The top scorer in the match was Vank from SESC RJ Flamengo, who netted 19 points and became the key figure for the success of the Rio team. The strong performances of the Brazilians in block and serve proved decisive in all three sets, which ended with almost identical scores.
After this match, Praia Clube remains with 4 points and occupies 5th place in the Superliga standings. Koleva's team will try to return to winning ways in their next match on November 8, when they will host Gerdan Mines.
