Dea Sport made a comeback and snatched the victory in Ruse

The volleyball players of Deya Sport (Burgas) achieved a dramatic comeback victory in their away game against Dunav (Ruse) with 3:2 sets (25:22, 19:25, 17:25, 25:22, 15:9) in a match from the current round of the Men's Super League.

The hosts (Dunav) started hesitantly and conceded the first set, but then showed better play in serve and block to turn the score to 2:1. In the fourth set, the Burgas players (Deya) mobilized, stabilized their reception, and brought the match to a tie-break, where they were decisive – 15:9.

🎯 INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS

🟦 Dunav (Ruse)

  • Alex Nikolov – 29 points (2 aces, 48% attack efficiency). Offensive leader, but with as many as 11 attack errors – heavy workload, but inconsistent towards the end.

  • Ognyan Hristov – 15 points (2 aces, 4 blocks). Stable in defense and blocking, but inconsistent in attack efficiency (44%).

  • Alexander Kordev – 10 points, high attack efficiency (73%), but rarely utilized.

  • Angel Pavlov – 14 points, 46% efficiency – a good contribution from the substitute.

  • Receivers (Mitev, Yankov) – 35–62% positive reception, which is quite inconsistent and allowed Deya to win easy points on serve.

🟨 Deya Sport (Burgas)

  • Erion Bajrami – 21 points (54% attack efficiency, 35% excellent reception) – undisputed MVP. Balanced contribution across all elements.

  • Tsvetelin Tsvetanov – 16 points, 39% attack efficiency, but stable on serve (2 aces) and block (5 blocks).

  • Mohammadreza Hazouri – 12 points, 78% efficiency (!) – an exceptionally stable middle blocker.

  • Hadi Shourkabi – 10 points (50% attack efficiency, 3 aces) – aggressive on serve.

  • Georgi Bratoev – 4 points, but with a huge contribution to attack organization and the rhythm of the tie-break.

Dunav was more effective in attack, but Deya compensated with fewer errors and better serving. The difference in the tie-break came precisely from the aggressiveness of the serve – 10 aces versus 7 and better reception management for the Ruse players (Deya 78% positive in the 5th set!).
