SuperLega Credem Banca – Round 2: Trento and Verona at the top, Perugia won the classic against Lube

After the second round of the regular season of the ItalianSuperLega Credem Banca, leading the standings wereItas TrentinoandRana Verona, who maintained a perfect record. The evening also offered the big clash betweenSir Susa Scai PerugiaandCucine Lube Civitanova, which ended with a dramatic tie-break in favor of the 'Umbrians'.

Commentary:
The second round passed without surprises – favorites Trento, Perugia, and Verona recorded expected victories, while Modena and Cuneo showed stability at home. The only derby with intrigue until the end was between Perugia and Lube, where five sets were played to determine a winner.

Itas Trentino – Sonepar Padova 3:0

Jordi Ramonwas once again the leading scorer with 19 points, andMichelettoadded 14. Marcelo Mendez's team played with a balance between attack and block, not allowing Padova to come back into the match. Bulgarian international Boris Nachev did not record any playing minutes for Padova.

Trento demonstrated complete homogeneity - few reception errorsand stable defense. Padova only fought in the third game, but found no answer against the pace of the hosts.

Cuneo – Cisterna Volley 3:0

Piacenza – Allianz Milano 3:1

Modena was uncompromising in the first two sets, but allowed themselves to relax at the end. Monza tried to come back in the third set, but the short bench and weak defense didn't help. A good match for national player Martin Atanasov, with episodic appearances by the young Zhasmin Velichkov.

Perugia – Lube Civitanova 3:2

A real spectacle at "Pala Barton". Perugia and Lube exchanged sets, butKamil Semeniukended the dispute with a decisive tie-break.

Perugia won with a solid block and better physical preparation, as well as strong serving in decisive moments. Lube surprised with an excellent performance from Alex Nikolov and substitute Hossein Khanzade, but could not withstand the mental pressure in the tie-break.

Grottazzolina – Verona 0:3

Verona was stable on serve and in defense, with excellent distribution fromChristenson. The hosts did not find a rhythm and again lost without taking a set. The two Bulgarians in Grottazzolina - Iliya Petkov and Georgi Tatarov made a decent contribution.
