Lokomotiv Avia recorded a 3:0 victory against Slavia, with "the whites" putting up a fight in the first game.

Vice-champion Lokomotiv Avia started the new season in the men's Super League of Bulgaria with a convincing victory. Nayden Naydenov's team defeated newcomer Slavia 3:0 (25:22, 25:21, 25:19) at home in a first-round match played in the hall of Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski".

The first game developed extremely competitively – the two teams went point for point until 22:21 for the hosts. In the decisive minutes, the "black-and-whites" capitalized on two consecutive errors by the "whites" – first on serve, then in attack – and this brought them success in the set with 25:22.

The second set offered a similar scenario. The score was even until 10:9, but a series of powerful serves by Todor Valchev allowed Lokomotiv to pull away at 13:9. The lead was maintained steadily until the end and the set concluded 25:21.

In the third set, the captain of the Plovdiv team once again showcased his class on serve, helping the team take a 14:11 lead. From that point on, Lokomotiv completely controlled the game and closed out the match without issue at 25:19.

Julien Georgiev was the top scorer for the winners with 13 points, while Kristian Aleksov added 11. For Slavia, David Barutov scored 10 points.

Statistics show complete dominance by the Plovdiv team in crucial moments. Todor Valchev's serve was a decisive factor, and stability in reception and defense allowed Lokomotiv to dictate the tempo. Slavia showed potential, especially in the first set, but the lack of experience in the elite league became apparent during important rallies.
