The Super Volley season started in the most dramatic way possible in Mladost Hall, where Montana snatched a victory over Cherno More after true drama – 3:2 (26:24, 25:22, 16:25, 19:25, 28:26). The match offered everything – comebacks, tension, and an amazing tie-break, decided only at the 28th point.
The hosts started more confidently and took a 2:0 lead after two contested sets. In the first, they prevailed 26:24 on their second opportunity, and in the second, they again kept their composure at the end, after Cherno More had equalized at 20:20.
The guests from Varna, however, did not give up. In the third set, their block worked impressively, and after an early 10:4 lead, they reduced the set difference. Their strong play continued in the fourth part, in which they completely controlled the events (9:4, 16:10) and with 25:19 restored parity – 2:2.
The tie-break turned into real drama. Montana pulled ahead 8:5, but Cherno More got back into the match at 12:12. A series of saved match points followed for both teams, with the hosts showing exceptional character – they fended off seven match points and finally triumphed on their sixth opportunity – 28:26.

The statistics highlight Montana's collective contribution – as many as five players with double-digit scores. This variety in attack, combined with decisive blocks at key moments, proved crucial. However, the Varna team demonstrated impressive fighting spirit and power at the net, especially through Viktor Yosifov and his six blocks. Marcel Guyondong was the true leader of the guests, but Cherno More's strength was not enough for the final blow.
In the other match, which started at the same time, Pirin Razlog celebrated a 3:0 (25:16, 25:23, 25:18) victory in front of their home crowd against Dunav Ruse.
