Former DEA player started with a win in the Champions League

Former Burgas DEA volleyball player Jonathas Cardoso (Brazil) and his team Dinamo (Bucharest) started their Champions League campaign in an impressive manner. The Romanian champion convincingly won 3:0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-19) as a guest against VC Strumica, the North Macedonian title holder and former team of the setter Georgi Georgiev, a champion with Marek Dupnitsa. The match was played in the hallSC Jane Sandanskiin Skopje and lasted only 65 minutes.

The first referee of the match was Dobromir Dobrev (Bulgaria), who flawlessly officiated the game.
The Romanian team demonstrated maturity and teamwork, with an excellent connection between setter Burggraaf and the attackers. Dinamo left no doubt about their superiority, maintaining stability in defense and effectiveness at the net.
The most prolific player was Petar Premović, who scored 14 points, and deservedly received the MVP of the match award, presented by the hosts. Petza and Cardoso (8 points) also performed excellently, maintaining high attacking efficiency and stability in reception. The balance in attack and good team rotation show that Dinamo has a well-matched and deep squad.

The return match will be played next Tuesday in the "Dinamo" hall in Bucharest, where the Romanian champion will aim to solidify their success and smoothly advance to the second qualifying round. Given the demonstrated difference in class, the qualification seems like a formality.
