Children's track change: Lokomotiv Novosibirsk vs. Dynamo-Ural with 18-year-old setters

Lokomotiv Novosibirsk will play today for the first time in front of its home crowd in the Super League, facing Dynamo-Ural (Ufa).
The match carries a special emphasis – in the absence of the injured Vadim Ozhiganov, the hosts will rely on two setters, both only 18 years old.

🧠 The young conductors of the attack

Due to the injury of the main second setter Vadim Ozhiganov, Lokomotiv's coaching staff was forced to call for help from the youth team. Thus, in the match against Dynamo-Ural, we will see Simeon (Moni) Nikolov and Korney Nikolaev leading the 'railroaders'' game in setting.

The two young talents were born nine months apart, which means Lokomotiv will start their home games with the youngest setter duo in the Superleague.
Nikolov, 209 cm tall, impresses with his physique and block, while Nikolaev is lighter and more agile, a typical playmaker from the Novosibirsk school.
The situation poses a serious challenge for them – not only to set up attacks for one of Russia's leading clubs but also to demonstrate composure in front of their home crowd.

The club sees this as an opportunity for the development of young talents, while fans expect to see Lokomotiv's new generation in action.
Ozhiganov's absence undoubtedly changes the tactical scheme but also provides an opportunity for experimentation and boldness.
