Vangelia Rachkovska started her first season with French Volero Le Cannet with a win.

Volero Le Cannet, whose coach last season was former national team selector Ivan Petkov, started the new season in the French Women's League A with a difficult but valuable away victory against Terville-Florange – 3:2 (25:18, 25:19, 23:25, 18:25, 15:13). The match offered many turnarounds, and the decisive tie-break showed stability and character in the play of the team from Cannes.

After changes in the lineup, however, the hosts from Terville-Florange managed to equalize the score to 2:2, but Volero showed class in the tie-break and prevailed with 15:13.
