Loko Avia officially announced the departure of Kaziyiski

Lokomotiv Avia Plovdiv officially confirmed that Matey Kaziyski is leaving the team to join Turkish Halkbank, led by Radostin Stoychev. The news was announced by the club's owner in a special video address published on the team's Facebook page.

"As I said during his presentation, Matey's contract has a clause that allows him to accept an offer he can't refuse," stated Lokomotiv Avia owner Ivaylo Konstantinov. "Such a proposal came very recently – almost before the start of the championship. It's an invitation from Halkbank, where our good friend Radostin Stoychev is the coach."

According to Konstantinov, the decision was made after a careful analysis of the situation in both clubs. The Turkish team was left without two key receivers due to serious injuries, which cast doubt on its goals for the season.

"After we assessed that our team is strong enough even without Matey, we decided to give our consent. I want to emphasize that this is not a matter of finances – neither for us nor for Halkbank. Matey is not going for money, but to help," added the owner of the Plovdiv team.

He expressed gratitude to Kaziyski for his professionalism and influence in the locker room:
"With his presence, he set an example for everyone – with his discipline, responsibility, and attitude towards the game. I hope he will wear Lokomotiv's jersey again soon."

Matey Kaziyski himself thanked the club and the fans:
"It was an honor and a pleasure for me to spend this, albeit short, period at Lokomotiv Avia. I believe this is just a 'goodbye' for now, not a farewell. I hope to see each other again soon – both on and off the court."
