The Italian coach of Neftochimic Burgas – Francesco Cadeddu – approaches tomorrow's Bulgarian Supercup semifinal against Lokomotiv (Avia) with realism and confidence.
🟡Readiness and confidence before the tournament
Francesco Cadeddu admitted that the Supercup is Neftochimic's first major test of the season, but he believes the team is well-prepared and ready to give their maximum. The Italian specialist has been with the team for two weeks, after returning from the World Championship with the national team, and stated that he trusts his players.
"Neftochimic is ready. Everyone is motivated, we know that one match can decide everything."
🔥 About the opponent and the presence of Matey Kaziyski
Cadeddu emphasized that he respects Lokomotiv (Avia) and that playing against a team featuring Matey Kaziyski is an additional challenge, but also a stimulus.
"Matey is one of the best in the world, but one person cannot win the match alone. Volleyball is a team sport."
He added that Avia has quality players in all positions, and collective discipline and organization will determine success.
🧠 Transferring experience from the national team
The Italian shared that he is not introducing a specific "national scheme" at Neftochimic, but is applying the methods and training philosophy he has acquired over the past two years in Gianlorenzo Blengini's staff with the Bulgarian national team.
"I don't copy the national team's system, but I use the same logic of preparation, the same attention to detail and discipline."
He works individually with two national team players, one of whom is libero Dobrev, to elevate their level in sync with the requirements of the national style.
⚡ The energy after the World Championship
Cadeddu admitted that the entire Bulgarian volleyball community is already charged with energy after the national team's success, so no additional "inspiration" is needed.
"Everyone in Bulgaria – in Burgas, Sofia, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora – already carries the energy of volleyball. I'm just adding some small details."
🏟️ About the audience and the atmosphere in the hall
Cadeddu will lead Neftochimic in a match against Levski in Sofia for the first time, but he knows the hall from previous tournaments with Deia. He perceives the fans as part of the atmosphere and beauty of the game, not as pressure.
"The audience in Bulgaria is passionate, but always fair. That's how it should be – to support their team without interfering with the other. That is the spirit of sport."
Neftochimic's head coach, Francesco Cadeddu, enters the Supercup with a confident and professional approach – relying on organization, energy, and team spirit. The Italian sees the tournament as the first serious test of the new season, where every detail can determine the outcome. His experience from the national team provides the Burgas team with structure, stability, and confidence that they can handle even an opponent with a name like Matey Kaziyski.
