Velizar Chernokozhev: "The trophy will be won by the team that wants it the most."

Beroe Stara Zagora's opposite hitter Velizar Chernokozhev enters tomorrow's Bulgarian Supercup semifinal against Levski with confidence and a clear mindset – each of the four participants has a chance, but the team that demonstrates the greatest desire and concentration will win.

🟢Preparation and confidence before the tournament

Chernokozhev revealed that the Beroe Stara Zagora team has been preparing purposefully for the tournament for two months now and enters it with confidence and readiness to fight for the trophy. The team is almost in full squad, with the only absence being that of Tunisian middle blocker Mehdi Ben Taher, who still has document issues.

"We have enough experienced guys who will replace him. We are prepared – everything will be seen in the coming days."

🏐 Tournament format and mindset

The experienced opposite hitter emphasized that the Supercup tournament requires maximum concentration, because in one match everything can be decided.

"In such formats, there is no room for error – you must play at the highest level from the first to the last ball."

He added that all four teams have come to win, there are no "just participants," and that all the teams are strong and evenly matched.

🏟️ Expectations for a spectacle and respect for Matey Kaziyski

Chernokozhev described the tournament as a celebration for Bulgarian volleyball, which will offer spectacular high-level matches.

"Fans will enjoy great volleyball, especially with names like Matey Kaziyski on the court. It's a pleasure for all of us to play against him."

🧠 The key to victory

According to him, success in such tournaments depends not so much on tactics as on the desire to win and mental strength:

"The trophy is won by the team that wants it the most – the one that is prepared not only physically but also mentally."

Beroe enters the Supercup with confidence, ambition, and respect for its opponents. Despite the absence of a key player, Velizar Chernokozhev believes that the team is ready to fight for the final, relying on experience, desire, and mental resilience – the three elements that, according to him, decide the outcome of such tournaments.
