Bulgarian volleyball star Matey Kaziyski stated that the main thing he can contribute to his new team Lokomotiv Avia is his long-standing experience at the highest level. In an interview for the official Facebook page of the National Volleyball League, Kaziyski shared his expectations before the start of the new season in the men's championship.

Over the years abroad, I have accumulated a lot of knowledge and technical skills, which I will try to pass on to both my younger and more experienced teammates. I am quite a few years older than most of the guys on the team, so I have a lot to share and help with," commented Kaziyski.

The experienced receiver returned to the Bulgarian championship in early September, after signing with vice-champion Lokomotiv Avia. His return is considered one of the most significant events in Bulgarian volleyball in recent years.

The Supercup kicks off the season

The new season for the "black-and-whites" begins this week with the battle for the Bulgarian Supercup. The tournament will take place on October 18 and 19, with the format involving four teams.

In the first semifinal, Lokomotiv will face Neftochimic 2010 (Burgas) on Saturday, and in the other clash, champion Levski will play against Beroe 2016 (Stara Zagora). The winners will compete for the trophy in the final on the following day.
