National setter Stoil Palev returned to Bulgaria with a silver medal from the Men's World Championship in the Philippines and will begin preparations for the new season today. Although his club had given him a break until Monday after an extremely busy summer with the national team, Palev decided not to take advantage of it and to immediately join the championship squad. He is expected to appear on the court this very evening, when "Levski" faces their eternal rival "CSKA" in the opening match of the 25th edition of the "Boris Gyuderov" memorial tournament in Pernik.
