Serbia defeated Brazil in the shadow of Bernardo Rezende's personal tragedy

Pasay City, PhilippinesThe Serbian men's national team achieved a 3:0 victory over Brazil and is one step closer to the World Championship quarterfinals. This is yet another surprising result at this championship.
With this turn of events, Serbia must await the outcome of the Czech Republic – China match. The victory temporarily leaves Brazil behind the Serbian team in the group. Thus, the teams of Vital Heynen and Yuri Novak will play to solve the puzzle in this pool as well.

Gheorghe Crețu's team showed stable play in all elements. Dražen Luburić realized the main part of the attacks, libero Stefan Negić performed well in defense, Uroš Jovović evenly orchestrated the game, and Pavle Perić was the most effective in key moments.
All this happened against the backdrop of a personal tragedy that befell Brazilian coach-legend Bernardo Rezende, who learned before the match that his mother had passed away.
