Turkey qualified for the knockout stages after a victory over Libya.

Turkey qualified for the elimination phase after a second victory in the group – this time over Libya's team with 3:1. With the 6 points earned, Slobodan Kovač's boys are already a guaranteed participant in the round of 16. The match ended with a spectacular triple block in favor of the Turks. Their opponent, ranked 74th in the world, managed to snatch one set, but Libya's strength only went that far.

Later today, the group will see a clash between Canada and Japan. The "Samurai" are without a point after their decisive loss to our southern neighbor and will seek a mandatory victory if they want to keep hopes of advancing.

Match Progress

The first set was entirely under Turkey's control – strong service and stable block quickly brought an advantage, closed at 25:18.

In the second set, Libya surprised everyone – after trailing 10:14, they managed to equalize at 16:16 and even led 17:16. This gave momentum to the team, which pulled out the set 25:23 and leveled at 1:1.

However, Turkey responded decisively – in the third set they dominated completely and with aggressive attack won 25:14. The fourth set also went under the Turks' dictation, who gradually increased the gap and finished at 25:16 for the final 3:1.
