Fenerbahçe Medicana officially presented its newest addition – Italian international Alessia Oro, who arrives in Istanbul with the clear goal of helping the "Yellow-Navy Blues" in their fight for titles on all fronts in the new season.

Olympic Champion and World Star

The 29-year-old setter boasts an impressive resume. In the summer of 2024, she triumphed with Italy at the Olympic Games in Paris, and a year later, she added the world title from the 2025 World Championship. Her collection also includes two more gold medals from the Nations League, making her one of the brightest names on the international stage.

Individual Awards

In the last four major championships with the national team, Oro was consistently named "Best Setter," and at the 2025 World Championship in Brazil, she also received the MVP (Most Valuable Player) award. This is a recognition not only of her technical mastery but also of the leadership qualities she demonstrates on the court.

Arrival in Istanbul

Alessia arrives in Istanbul today, September 14, with her family. Two days later – on September 16 (Tuesday) – she will undergo mandatory medical examinations and will officially join Fenerbahçe Medicana's training process.
