27-year-old Karina Milcheva, known to Bulgarian volleyball fans from her time with Slavia and Levski teams, is among the new participants in the popular reality show 'Games of Will' on Nova TV.
Milcheva began her volleyball career in the capital, and in the 2014/15 season, she was listed in the starting lineup of Slavia's women's team. At that time, she played alongside Emileta Racheva – a current national team player.
Today, Karina is far from competitive volleyball – she has turned to pedagogy and teaches physical education, biomechanics, and sports training theory at the sports school in her hometown of Pernik. In her new role, she combines sports experience with academic knowledge, and enters the reality arena with a bid for a strong female coalition.
This is not the only participant connected to volleyball – the host of the reality show, actress Ralitsa Paskaleva, is married to former national team player Teodor Salparov.
