The Bulgarian national volleyball team arrived in Hiroshima after their training camp in Tokyo and two friendly matches against hosts Japan, which they lost 0:3 and 2:3.
The distance between the two cities – about 900 km – was covered in less than four hours with the high-speed 'Shinkansen' train, also known as the 'bullet train', which recently marked 61 years since its first service.

In Hiroshima, the players held a light training session in the hall of the local club 'Hiroshima Thunders'. Before their departure for the Philippines, two more test matches await them – on September 8th at 8:00 AM and on September 9th at 4:30 AM against the strong USA team. These will also be the final preparation matches before the start of the World Championship.
Bulgaria's official debut in the championship is scheduled for September 13th at 12:30 PM, when their opponent will be Germany.
