The Turkish national team concluded its participation in the prestigious tournament in Turin with a success. After previously suffering two consecutive losses – first against Italy, and then against the Netherlands – the selection of our southern neighbors prevailed with a 3:1 set score (31-29, 25-16, 21-25, 25-19) over Germany. Thus, Turkey left PalaVela with their heads held high and a valuable success in their last warm-up match.
Against the Germans, the Turks showed greater resilience in key moments. They snatched the extremely contested first set with 31:29, after which they imposed clear superiority in the second part (25:16). Germany brought the intrigue back with 25:21, but Turkey did not allow a comeback, closing the match with 25:19.
Thus, for Turkey, the warm-up matches concluded, and they will complete their preparation for the World Championship in Istanbul.
