10 from the squad will make their debut at such an event.

Setters – an entirely new generation

Both setters – Simeon Nikolov and Stoil Palev – will make their debuts at such an event. Their youth and different style of play give Blengini a chance to build a new look for the attack, and the team will have the opportunity to seek more dynamic solutions in rallies.

Venislav Antov will play his first World Championship with the men's national team. Together with Aleksandar Nikolov, who was at the last World Championship in Poland and Slovenia, and is among the brightest young stars in world volleyball, Bulgaria will have different options in attack.

Of the four outside hitters, only Asparuh Asparuhov and Martin Atanasov have already participated in major tournaments. Georgi Tatarov and Rusi Zhelev, on the other hand, will debut on the world stage. The combination of stability and fresh energy could prove key for reception and variability in attack.

In this position, Alex Grozdanov, who will also wear the captain's armband, is the only one with participation in a previous World Championship. For Boris Nachev, Iliya Petkov, and Preslav Petkov, their first test at such a level awaits. Their task will be to bring strength in blocking and stability at the center of the net.

Damyan Kolev and Dimitar Dobrev will have an extremely important role in reception and defense. Both will experience the atmosphere of a World Championship for the first time, but will have to show their best to provide composure for the team in key rallies.
