The Serbian national team suffered a major blow on the eve of the World Volleyball Championship, which will be held from September 12 to 28 in the Philippines. After it was already clear that coach Kretzu could not count on several key players, the news came thatMarko Ivovićwill not be available for the championship.

The experienced receiver suffered an injury, for which he was sent for special therapy in Spain. The medical team has imposed a strict ban on jumping forthree weeks. This practically rules out the possibility of Ivović being recovered in time for the World Championship, which is a serious blow to the ambitions of the “eagles”.
