The Japanese took a huge step towards the playoffs with their victory over Argentina. The Asians have ambitions for medals, but for now, they are playing quite inconsistently. In the match against the USA, they need to take two sets, but even if everything doesn't go according to plan, there's a good chance to sneak into the playoffs. Keep in mind that the Japanese will play their match after the Argentina-Germany match, knowing the temporary standings in their group.

In the third option, there will be a tie between Canada and Argentina in terms of wins and game ratio - then points will have to be counted. The main thing, however, is to defeat a strong Germany with a clean score.

Tuomas Sammelvuo's team has only one option - to pray for a clean victory for Argentina over Germany. And with such luck, they must cleanly beat Serbia with a good point difference.
