"We will talk with Matey in the coming days – he is here, training with us. So far, we have not made him a concrete offer, nor has he asked for anything, but we do not rule out the possibility of relying on him." This was stated by Bruno Da Re in an interview for T Quotidiano..

With these words, the member of the management board ofTrentino Volleyconfirmed that the club is considering attracting Matey Kaziyski as a temporary solution to the reception problem caused by Daniele Lavia's severe injury.
Kaziyski, the team's veteran, could be used temporarily, despite the restrictions related to his foreign status and his plans to play in Bulgaria from the end of October. "The situation is complex – options are limited," Da Re admits, emphasizing the shortage of Italian players on the market and regulations for foreigners. He reminds that Matey is already old and as a foreigner can only replace another foreigner. The Italians in Trento, however, are decreasing – we have already lost Rychlicki, Magalini, and now Lavia. "We will start with Ramon as a starter, but our options are limited, I don't hide it."
However, Kaziyski's experience could prove crucial in managing the crisis until it becomes clear how long Lavia will need for full recovery, Da Re adds.
Lavia was injured during a gym workout – he fell from a plyo box, and a 15-kilogram disc crushed his right hand. Open fractures, torn skin, damaged nerves, and tendons in two fingers followed. The Italian national underwent an operation that lasted more than three hours. According to the president, "the fingers were literally crushed, exploded," and the teammates who witnessed it were shocked by the sight. Recovery is expected to last at least three months, with a possible return only in November.
