Emboldened by the positive outcome of the first set, the Italians started the game strong, building a solid lead that at times reached 8 points (18:10). Until the end of the set, the Italians left no doubt who would be the winner of the game. The best-performing opposite hitter so far, Antropova, gave her team their first game point (24:16). The girls from the low country resisted until the third game point, and after a serve into the net, the second set ended.
In the third set, the Netherlands managed to take a brief lead at the beginning. After an 11:11 tie, Velasco's first timeout came. After the break, the Italians managed to build a comfortable lead, which became 5 points at the end of the set (20:15). After excellent defense and attack from the ubiquitous Antropova, the Italians came within two points of the end of the match. Again, the opposite hitter won the first match point, which turned into a victory after a great Italian double block.
Ekaterina Antropova finished with an impressive 33 points (2 blocks and 1 ace).

Netherlands captain Nika Daalderop managed to score 13 points (2 aces), but they were not enough for anything more.
With this clean victory, Italy topped Group C with 6 points, Turkey is second with 5, the Netherlands has only 1, and the Dominican Republic has no points.
