France took a 2-0 lead and was on the verge of a sensation, but Brazil staged a spectacular comeback.

France was on the verge of a historic sensation against one of the biggest forces in women's volleyball - Brazil. The Europeans took a 2:0 lead in sets and looked ready to shock the favorite, but the "Selecao" showed class and mental toughness, achieving a spectacular comeback -3:2 (21-25, 20-25, 25-15, 25-17, 15-13). The "Roosters" didn't give up until the end, even taking the lead in the tie-break, and then with immense effort managed to get within one point of the "Selecao" at the end of the match (13:14), but the class of the South Americans prevailed.

Thus, Brazil recorded a valuable victory and moved closer to the elimination phase, while France, despite the defeat, added an important point, which keeps them in second place in the group with 4 points.
