Polish national volleyball team: wedding season!

In Poland this summer, volleyball isn't just about balls, blocks, and sets. A game is also being played on another front – the wedding front! If in Germany tradition dictates"Coach, I'm getting married – I won't play!", the Poles have obviously adopted a different philosophy:"Coach, I'm getting married – and then I'm going out to play again!"šŸ‡µšŸ‡±šŸšŸ’

šŸ‘°šŸ¤µ The new life of Kamil Semeniuk

The newest groom on the Polish national team is Kamil Semeniuk. The outside hitter, who led Poland to silver at the Olympic Games in Paris last summer, finally said "I do."

The wedding was actually planned for 2024, but due to the Olympics, the couple decided to postpone the ceremony. Only a year later, after already having an Olympic medal in his collection, Semeniuk and his wife celebrated this special day in Kędzierzyn-KoÅŗle – the city where Kamil began his professional career and where the ZAKSA fan club did not miss being part of the celebration.

šŸ„‚ Half the team as guests

Some of Semeniuk's teammates took a break from training to attend the wedding. Jan Firlej even posted a video of the newlyweds being welcomed, and Tomasz Fornal, known for his taste for surprises, attracted attention with… a new "Polish" haircut.

On social media, footage from the celebration quickly spread, proving that Polish volleyball players know how to celebrate no worse than they play a tie-break.

šŸ’’ Wedding series, Polish style

Semeniuk is not the only one. This summer seems to be wedding season in Polish volleyball:

  • Klaudia Alagierska said "I do" to strength and conditioning coach Bartosz Grofik;

  • Maciej Muzaj also entered a new life;

  • Joanna Pacak and Monika Fedusio changed not only their status but also the surnames they will bear on the court.

šŸ The humor of fate

Volleyball is a game of concentration, but also of emotions. And when love and marriage enter the training schedule – the result is typically Polish: both married and ready to play.

While Germans often choose the wedding over the national team, Poles apparently manage to combine the two – first "I love you," and then "Serve!".

And so – volleyball in Poland continues to be full of energy, emotions, and, as it seems this summer, wedding dresses and tuxedos. Next stop? The hall again. But now with a ring on their finger.
