National continues in Romania

Steaua (Bucharest) made a blockbuster transfer for the new season, attracting Bulgarian international Krasimir Georgiev to its ranks. The 210 cm tall center is 30 years old and well-known to the Romanian public – five seasons ago, Georgiev played for Arcada Galați, with whom he won the national title. Now, the Bulgarian returns to the Romanian championship, but this time with the most successful club in history – Steaua.

Rich international experience

Georgiev's career has spanned elite championships – he has played in Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Egypt, and France. In his trophy collection, he holds titles in Bulgaria, Greece, and Egypt, as well as the prestigious Challenge Cup (2018).

World Championship ahead

Georgiev's transfer comes at a crucial moment – just a month before the start of the World Championship in the Philippines. Thus, Steaua's new center will be in the spotlight not only at club level but also at national level.

What will he bring to Steaua?

With his strength, experience, and precise execution, Georgiev will bring stability to the center of the net. The coaching staff expects a leadership role from him, as well as additional power in blocking – an element that will be key to the club's ambitions next season.

Krasimir Georgiev: "I am happy to play in Romania again, and this time for a club with such a rich history as Steaua. I look forward to the new season and the opportunity to help the team achieve its goals."

The past season was not very successful for Steaua - they finished 6th in the championship, and in the Romanian Cup, their strength was only enough for fifth place.
