Another blow for Nikola Grbic: Norbert Huber with new thigh pains, Poreba returns "on fire"

Unpleasant news comes from the training camp of the Polish national volleyball team in Zakopane. Middle blocker Norbert Huber, who had only recently returned to full training after a previous injury, has felt pain in his left thigh. According to official information, he will undergo detailed medical examinations on Friday.

During his training break, coach Nikola Grbić decided to bring back Mateusz Poreba, who will take his place for the remaining three days of the camp.

Just a few days ago, Grbić happily commented on Huber's good form and his return to training. However, the joy was short-lived – the discomfort in his thigh brings back the tension surrounding the physical condition of one of the key middle blockers.

At this stage, it is unclear whether the problem is a result of overload or an indication of a more serious traumatic process. This makes the upcoming examinations crucial for Huber's future in the team.

The situation comes at an extremely delicate moment – the Hubert Wagner Memorial is very close, and after it, Nikola Grbić must determine the final squad for the World Championship in the Philippines.
If the medical results show more serious damage, Huber may be forced to miss not only the memorial but also the championship. This would be a heavy blow for Poland, which relies precisely on his experience and presence in the center of the net.
