Israel's Hapoel (Tel Aviv), winner of last season's EuroCup basketball trophy, has chosen the sports base of Bulgaria's volleyball champion Levski Sofia as its home during its participation in the most prestigious club basketball tournament - the EuroLeague. The "blue" club boasted about this.
Levski's volleyball hall, opened in 2021, proved to be a magnet for the basketball grandee. Together with the Garitage sports complex, the hall offers extensive facilities - a gym, swimming pool, indoor and outdoor track, a modern CrossFit hall, as well as a full-fledged physiotherapy and rehabilitation center. These conditions convinced head coach Dimitris Itoudis and the management of Hapoel to choose Bulgaria for a long-term camp.
On August 25the Israelis will hold their first practice in the Levski Sofia hall, which will remain their training home until the spring of 2026. And the big stage will be Arena Sofia, where the team will play all 19 of its EuroLeague home games.
