Upon the return of the Bulgarian national team for girls under 21 after the World Championship in Indonesia, team manager Boris Halachev and coordinator of the national teams in the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation Nikolay Ivanov shared their overall assessment of the performance.
Halachev emphasized the strong character and mental resilience of the girls, who after a difficult start managed to defeat Thailand and prove that they can compete at a global level. He expressed regret that the bronze was very close, but nevertheless sees a future for most of the players in the women's national team.
Ivanov added that the results in the junior categories – a world title for U19 and 4th place for U21 – show the development of our women's volleyball and the correct work in the academies. He focused on professional preparation, the precise timing of peak form, and the role of experienced coaches like Dragan Nesic, Atanas Petrov, and Miroslav Zhivkov, who not only manage but also develop young talents.
Both emphasized that this is just the beginning for this generation and that success is a common result – of the coaches, the players, and the academies that prepare them.
