Loko Avia's dream of attracting Matey Kaziyski could become a reality this month. The idea was born in May, the team's manager Lyudmil Naydenov revealed tovolleyweek.bg. "Half-jokingly, half-seriously, our owner, after our first loss to Levski for the title, quipped:They have Todor Skrimov, we need to get Kaziyski. As they say - no sooner said than done," Naydenov smiles.
Negotiations began immediately and are being led personally by the club's owner, Ivaylo Konstantinov. If anyone wonders why Kaziyski agreed to negotiate with him, we immediately recall that Konstantinov was one of the first to openly side with the Stoychev-Kaziyski tandem during the turbulent year of 2012. And when earlier this summer Kaziyski announced to BTA that he was a free agent, rumors about his future exploded. Among them was the playful: "He should come to Bulgaria" - words that today sound like a prophecy.
If the transfer becomes a reality, our best volleyball player of the last 20 years could end his career at home. He is expected to arrive without his family, as his son starts first grade in the autumn. The plan is for "The Emperor" to be in Bulgaria around August 27 to sign a one-year contract.
Loko Avia is already counting the days until they see Kaziyski in the red and black kit. 🇧🇬🏐
