Daria Ivanova will continue her career with the current champion of Romania - Volley Alba Blaj, as is clear from a post by the club on social media. She joins the team along with three other players - captain Drussyla Costa (Brazil), Ariana Pârv (Romania) and Evilania Martinez (Cuba), with the four forming the outside hitter line for the 2025/2026 season.

The new outside hitters of Volley Alba Blaj
🇧🇷 Drussyla Costa (29, 1.84 m) begins her third season with the club. As captain, she led the team to the championship title, the Romanian Cup and Supercup, as well as to the CEV Cup final in 2024/2025 - one of the most successful seasons in the team's history. She will wear jersey number 17 again in the new campaign.
🇷🇴 Ariana Pârv (29, 1.82 m) is an experienced Romanian international, who has played in Italy, Greece, Finland and a number of Romanian clubs. In 2024, she triumphed with the Romanian Cup with CSM Târgoviște. In Blaj, she will wear number 13.
🇧🇬 Daria Ivanova (22, 1.87 m) comes from the Hungarian Fatum Nyíregyháza, and before that she defended the colors of CSKA Sofia and Levski Sofia. In her new team, she will play with number 5.
🇨🇺 Evilania Martinez (25, 1.85 m) is a Cuban outside hitter who was part of the Russian Tulitsa Tula last season. In her career, she has also played in Greece and other Russian clubs. She will wear number 19.
Ambitions for a new season
After winning the "golden treble" in Romania and participating in a European Cup final, Volley Alba Blaj enters the new season with ambitions to defend its titles and make a new European breakthrough. The acquisition of four proven outside hitters is a statement for an even stronger performance in the championship and on the international stage.
In addition to Daria Ivanova, Monika Krusteva also played for Alba Blaj last season, helping the team win the Romanian title and Cup. For the 2025/2026 season, however, the opposite will continue her career in Italy, where she will wear the jersey of PanBiscò Leonessa Volley Altamura. An interesting fact is that over the years two other Bulgarians have worn the Alba Blaj jersey - Elitsa Vasileva and Gergana Dimitrova, leaving their mark in the history of the Romanian champion.
